Job description:

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Optical Assistant/Eyewear Stylist in our Independent practice in trendy Walthamstow, North East London.

As an Optical Assistant/Eyewear Stylist, your duties will include the following:
•Administration
•Answering the telephone
•Booking appointments
•Required to be a supportive team member for our optometrists and assist with clinical duties, such as pre screening using high tech equipment.
•Assisting in eyewear styling
•Assisting in fitting of spectacles

Full training will be provided and training will be accredited by the Eyewear Styling Academy.
Working as part of a peer team you will lead from the front delivering customer service excellence and building the brand locally aiming to be the best and growing our reputation.

As an Optical Assistant/Eyewear Stylist, you will be an integral part of the team at Wood Street Opticians and your passion for providing exceptional customer service and clinical services contributes to our high level of customer satisfaction.
Acting as our trusted Optical Assistant to our patients, you will communicate in an open, helpful and engaging tone and focus on giving the highest level of care with each patient.
Effective communication with the patients will be of high priority in a warm and compassionate manner. Being a people’s person and strong interpersonal skills is a must!!!
You will be working with our experienced team of Dispensing Opticians, Optometrists and Head Receptionist and be organised to work well within a small team. You should have an ability to generate new ideas and work dynamically within the team.

We will encourage and nurture your ambition and passion to grow your skills in specialised areas within optometry and will support and invest in you.

You will be using the latest technology including OCT, Dry eye software and equipment amongst others. We have a fabulous frame collection including mainstream brands and bespoke handcrafted frame collections, which complement our eyewear styling services we provide in our boutique practice.
